Type 22 – Prospective Average Like Day |
The MDP substitutes missing or erroneous metering data using the average like day method |

Type 23 – Previous Year |
Using the metering data from the nearest equivalent day or like day from the same, or similar, Meter Reading period in the previous year |

Type 24 – Data Scaling |
Apply a multiplier value to scale any affected erroneous actual meter reading data either up or down to reflect missing or over-estimated registration |

Type 25 – Average Daily Load (ADL) |
Where no other option is available, the substituted period is calculated based on Average Daily Load which may or may not be profiled |

Removed Substitution type
From the 4 November 2024, MDPs must not use Substitution A process undertaken for the replacement of missing (null) or erroneous accumulated metering data or interval metering data where metering data has failed Validation. Type 16.
